As the end of the season draws closer, so does the Imps Player of the Season vote, and there are a lot of contenders.

Lincoln City are well set for promotion to the second division of English Football for the first time in over 60 years as they sit ten points clear of the chasing pack in SkyBet League One.

With performances being so good this season for City, it’s going to be hard for fans to choose their player of the season, with many names being thrown around.

Here are some players that we believe could take home the award this season.

Conor McGrandles

McGrandles, scored his first goal of the season against Blackpool, alongside taking home the Man of the Match award and is a player that could win this award.

He has also received the honour of being Man of the Match in the Imps’ 1-0 home win on October 18 against Stevenage.

The 30-year-old won the Player of the Month for September & November following his performances throughout the months.

So far, the Scotsman has scored one goal and got two assists in the league campaign, playing 33 of Lincoln’s 34 league games.

With the game he missed being the side’s only home league loss of the season against Exeter City in October.

 Jack Moylan

The Imps’ Irish attacking midfielder is also someone in contention to win the award.

In League One this season, Lincoln’s number ten has scored seven goals, and got himself four assists as of writing.

Moylan was recently named Gameweek 29’s Player of the Gameweek on Fantasy EFL, and he was also a name nominated for January’s SkyBet League One Player of the Month – losing out to Leyton Orient’s Dom Ballard – but won the club’s version of the award.

He has also been named as Man of the Match twice this season.

Adam Reach

The left-back who “gets the ball and scores a goal” is another player who has performed highly for Michael Skubala’s side.

Reach joined City on a free transfer last summer and has bagged seven goal contributions this season so far with four goals, and three assists.

He was also nominated for the January PFA League One Fans’ Player of the Month – being beaten to it by Stockport’s Kyle Wootton.

The 33-year-old has won a couple of Man of the Match awards this season, and landed December’s Sky Bet League One Goal of the Month award for his volley away to Barnsley.

 Reeco Hackett

The final player on the list is 28-year-old right winger, Reeco Hackett.

So far this League One campaign, he has scored eight goals making him the side’s current top scorer – and got five assists – joint top with defender Tom Hamer.

City’s number seven has also bagged himself a club Man of the Match award and has been in fine form across the season for Skubala’s Imps.

Hackett has played 29 matches in the league so far this campaign – starting 25 of those games.

Regardless of whoever wins this award – the Imps have had a remarkable season, and they hope to wrap it up with automatic promotion.
