Lincoln City head coach Michael Skubala said his side looked tired as they entertained the crowd in a 4-3 victory over Wycombe Wanderers before lifting the SkyBet League One trophy.
Goals from Jack Moylan and a Reeco Hackett double gave City a commanding 3-0 lead shortly after the break.
Those goals have now left the pair as joint leaders of the top goal scorer charts going into the final day.
Michael Skubala spoke on the mindset of both attackers going into the final day when he said: “I think they might have a little competition going on next week.

“They haven’t done that so far but they are probably now thinking about that but they’ve got humility, and they know what’s needed.
“We want to try and go 29 unbeaten which would be an unbelievable record so we’re hoping to do that, but we’ll enjoy what we’ve done.”
However, despite the game seeming to be done, the Chairboys still managed a brief scare in the final 15 minutes as Josh Scowen and Declan Skura pulled two goals back.

Despite the setback, the three points were eventually sealed when Tendayi Darikwa made it 4-2 inside the final ten minutes and, Skubala said: “We find a way to win.
“Even today when I thought we looked tired in the second half, but I think it’s the emotion of the game and of the day.
“It’s a feeling of euphoria, but that’s meant they looked tired and I don’t think its physical but it’s just because it’s such a special day.
“It’s not all about today, it’s about the whole season and everything we’ve done so I’m just really proud of them.”
He then continued on the day as a whole when he said: “It’s unbelievable, we need to enjoy it and we need to really enjoy everything.
“I can’t say it enough, but I’ve lost words for this group of players they’ve just been unbelievable all season.”
