A 2-1 win for Lincoln City over a travelling Leyton Orient side saw the Imps move to just four points from the Skybet League One title.
A volley from Jack Moylan and an own goal put City in the driving seat, before Dom Ballard halved the deficit with his 22nd goal of the season.
Michael Skubala was full of praise for the performance that made it 25 league games unbeaten, when he said: “It’s an unbelievable record.
“I thought we were brilliant in the first half and that we were worthy going into the break two ahead.
“We dipped a little bit in the second half but the groups really good at getting over the line. It’s a special group.”

After the Imps confirmed promotion to the Championship for the first time in 65 years on Monday, Skubala was delighted with his sides professionalism.
“The psychology of it is difficult to go again. We’ve achieved our first goal and it would be easy to not give 100 percent but that wasn’t the case.
“Ivan (Varfolomeev) was meant to start but Tom Bayliss came in and he was really good today and it shows the mentality of the team. Ivan felt something in his knee and we won’t take any risks at this stage.”
Jack Moylan got his tenth league goal of the season with the opener.
“What a goal. He’s so good in those areas and it’s a fantastic finish. We looked lively and had good momentum.”

Reflecting on his side edging closer to winning the league, the 43-year-old said: “We just have to keep going and get over the line.
“It feels like there’s an expectation that we just win games of football but we don’t take it for granted, we have to keep working hard and there’s things that drop for us all the time but that’s because of our hard work.”
Speaking about the importance of keeping the players motivated, the head coach said it was the desire to be champions that keeps the team ticking.
“We have to light a fire in the players to want to be champions. They want to go up top of the league.
“Games always change but we have to grind results out.”
Lincoln City travel to Stevenage on Saturday, with the chance to win the league, should results go their way.
