Newly crowned SkyBet League One Champions Lincoln City play their final home game of the season on Saturday against Wycombe Wanderers.

The Imps clinched the title on Tuesday away from home in a 2-0 win against Doncaster Rovers, but Saturday at the LNER Stadium will be the first time that the squad will physically lift the trophy.

A brace from midfielder Ben House was enough on Tuesday to seal the League One trophy for Michael Skubala’s side.

City can also cross the 100-point mark in the league table if they beat Wycombe and can also extend their unbeaten run to 28 games – which started on December 9.

Following the season, they’ll be able to fully celebrate all the achievements with the fans on an open top bus parade on Saturday, May 9.

Opponents: Wycombe Wanderers

The Wanderers currently find themselves in 11th place in the League One table with them being safe from relegation, but nothing to play for as they sit 11 points outside the play-offs.

Michael Duff’s side last game was at home to Blackpool last weekend where they suffered a 1-0 defeat with midfielder Luke Leahy scoring an own goal in the 48th minute.

The best Wycombe can finish this season is in ninth place, and that’s where Duff will be pushing his side to end the campaign.

A player to watch out for from Saturday’s visitors will be right winger Fred Onyedinma who has bagged ten goals so far this campaign along with two assists.

Team News

On Tuesday, the Imps made just one change with Rob Street coming in for Reeco Hackett which seemed to be more tactical than injury wise.

However, as well as boasting about his side, Lincoln head-coach Skubala did touch one or two minor issues, without naming players, his side are experiencing.

Skubala said: “I think we could be looking at the greatest Lincoln City group ever with this group.

“We’ve got one or two knocks, so I’ve got to make some decisions now about risk and reward.

“I think you’ll see some changes. There are some bodies out there that have been creaking.”

Head-To-Head

It was Wycombe Wanderers away where City actually suffered their last defeat in League One action.

They lost that game 3-2 on November 22, 2025, and have actually lost their last three against The Chairboys.

Overall, in the 28 games played against each other since 1993, Wycombe have had the upper hand on Lincoln winning 14 with City only winning eight and the two sides drawing the remaining six.

City’s last one over their visitors was August 12, 2023, in a 3-0 home league win at the LNER Stadium.

Played For Both

Both Lincoln City defenders Adam Reach and Sonny Bradley had spells at Adams Park.

Left back Reach played for Wycombe last season after leaving from West Bromwich Albion where he made 15 appearances.

Bradley was at the club last season also playing 21 games for the side and scoring twice.

A player of note who has played for both sides is former Lincoln, Wycombe and Walsall midfielder and current Gillingham manager Gareth Ainsworth who spent two years at the Imps and eight with the Wanderers on the pitch, as well as managing them for 11 years.
