As the season draws to a close across all levels of the English football pyramid we’re approaching crunch time of the season for sides across Lincolnshire.
And with Lincoln City hoping to secure the title away to Stevenage this weekend, we looked into which other sides still have something to play for.
Grimsby Town:
Starting with the second highest team in Lincolnshire and Grimsby Town currently sit just four points outside the SkyBet League Two play-offs with a game in hand.
They now face four games to close the gap to current seventh placed side Chesterfield which include tough tests against fellow promotion rivals Cambridge United and Swindon Town.
Alongside that, they face up to relegation threatened Tranmere Rovers, who are winless in ten games as well mid-table side Gillingham.
However, last time out they did lose out to Chesterfield which allowed Barnet, Crewe Alexandre and Oldham to close the gap down to within three points of the Mariners.

Scunthorpe United:
Moving into non-league football and while Scunthorpe United don’t have anything to play for in the regular season, they have already guaranteed themselves a spot in the National League play-offs.
That comes as the former football league side were only promoted up to the National League last season and now face a final two games to determine their finishing position.
As it stand, that could be anywhere between seventh and fourth as they face up to FA Trophy finalists Wealdstone FC as well as relegation threatened Eastleigh.
Regardless of their finishing position, the Iron have already confirmed that they will be competing in the National League play-offs quarter-final, with their opponents to be decided based off their final position.
Cleethorpes Town:
Moving down even further and Cleethorpes Town face a tough task to take Gainsborough Trinity’s place in the Northern Premier League play-offs.
They currently sit five points outside of the top five with just six points left to play for so would therefore need the three sides above them to drop points in all of their remaining games.
However, with Stockton Town and Lancaster City playing each other next time out, either side winning in that one would end the Owls’ promotion hopes.
However, focussing on themselves and Cleethorpes need to find victory at home to title challengers Hednesford Town as well as, away to relegation threatened Whitby Town.

Bourne Town:
Elsewhere in the Northern Premier League and Bourne Town find themselves in a relegation battle in their first season back at step four.
The Wakes achieved promotion through the Combined Counties Premier Division play-offs last season after Lincoln United won the league.
However, they now need to win both of their remaining games to secure their NPL Midlands Division status, while hoping that St Neots and Bedworth United above them fail to pick up a point.
With destiny out of their own hands, it doesn’t look great for Bourne who face up to Boldmere St Michael’s and play-off chasing Belper Town.
