Irish folk band the Saw Doctors will play at the Engine Shed.

The Saw Doctors will be take to the stage on December 1st as part of their 2009-2010 UK tour.

The five-piece band are well known for their folk stylings, and have released seven studio albums, two compilations, and two live CDs.

One of their most known singles is ‘N17′, a song written about an Irish emigrant driving on the N17, an Irish road that connects Galway with the Saw Doctors’ hometown of Tuam.

Another of the band’s songs, ‘She Says’, is also used as the theme song to the BBC Northern Ireland comedy series ‘Give My Head Peace’, as well as Guiness beer using the song ‘Never Mind the Strangers’ in an ad campaign in the US.

Tickets are available now for £20, and the event is for over 16s only.
