Scottish band The Proclaimers announced they will be performing at the Engine Shed in June, as part of their latest tour.

The band’s most recent album, “Notes & Rhymes” was released on June 15th last year. Since then, The Proclaimers have been travelling around the country and across the US, pleasing thousands of fans with their new music.

The Scottish twins have enjoyed worldwide success over the years, with songs immersed in emotional honesty, political fire, and wit.

One of their most recent successes was their charity version of “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)” for Comic Relief. Many celebrities were involved in the single, including television characters Andy Pipkin (played by Matt Lucas) and Brian Potter (played by Peter Kay). The song reached number one in the UK singles chart and raised thousands of pounds for the charity.

One of their most popular songs, “I’m on My Way”, was used in “Shrek”, made in 2001.

The band will be performing on June 17th and tickets go on sale Monday, February 1st. Tickets are £22.50 (including booking fee). For more details see the Engine Shed’s website or call the ticket hotline on 0844 888 87 66.
