Former Imps goalkeeper Rob Burch has agreed a two-year deal at recently promoted League One side Notts County.
Burch had turned down the offer of a new deal at the Imps after expressing the will to ply his trade at a higher level.
New Magpies manager Craig Short has jumped at the opportunity to take Burch to Meadow Lane with his club short of goalkeepers.
Burch was ‘Player of the Season’ at Sincil Bank last campaign and was one of the central figures in the Imps successful battle against relegation from League Two.
The former Tottenham youngster was signed by Peter Jackson back in 2008 after being released by Championship side Sheffield Wednesday. He went on to play in every Lincoln City match over the next two seasons, becoming a firm favourite with fans in the process.
Imps manager Chris Sutton was quick to bring in a replacement for Burch after snapping up former Port Vale stopper Joe Anyon last month.
Elsewhere, Tom Spall has left his role as Head of Youth at Sincil Bank. Spall’s time at the club saw him oversee the development of young Imps such as Jack Hobbs, Lee Frecklington and Scott Loach. Grant Brown will take the role on a temporary basis, with a view to taking the role permanently.
