Bestival have announced the first headliner for next year’s festival, The Cure, along with some other fantastic acts. After winning Best Major Festival at this year’s UK Music Festival Awards, Bestival are trying to keep the momentum running with their first announcement.
Headlining the Main Stage next year will be the gothic new wavers, The Cure. Playing their only European show of 2011, Robert Smith and co. are not one to be missed next year.
Also joining in the fun over on the Isle of Wight will be the Beach Boys’ founding father Brian Wilson, the legendary DJ Grandmaster Flash and Primal Scream who will be performing their Screamadelica show.
As well as the veterans, some fresh blood has also been named for the festival. Dubstep ‘supergroup’ Magnetic Man, the brilliantly experimental 65daysofstatic and electronic extraordinaires Crystal Castles.
Many more acts have been announced for the festival, due to take place from September 8th to 11th next year at Robin Hill Country Park on the Isle of Wight.

- Student weekend ticket (inc. camping): £150
- Age 13-15 weekend ticket (inc. camping): £80
- Age 12 and under weekend ticket (inc. camping): FREE (but you must obtain a ticket)
- Campervan tickets: £65 (per vehicle)
