Welsh rockers The Blackout have announced that they will be playing the Engine Shed on Tuesday, November 1st as part of a nine date UK headline tour.

The Merthyr-Tydfil sextet have been together for eight years and will be performing songs from their fourth studio album “Hope”, which has been completely funded by their fans.

The fan-funded effort features a second CD featuring some cover versions of popular songs such as Andrew WK’s “Party Hard” and Beastie Boys’ “Fight For Your Right (To Party)”.

With a touring history that has seen them support My Chemical Romance, You Me At Six and Story Of The Year, the band will be heading out on their second headline tour of the year.

This will be their first time performing in the city and they will be joining a host of names who have previously played here. The Blackout’s official Twitter page says that they are trying to come to areas they haven’t been for a while, or been before, so that more people get to see them.

Tickets for the show go on sale on Friday, April 15th at 9am and are priced at £15 plus booking fees. For more information visit the Engine Shed’s website.
