Noah and the Whale will be bringing their indie folk sound to the Engine Shed in October.

The band, who are originally from Twickenham, announced their upcoming month long tour on their Facebook page which sees them in the city on October 21st.

They are well known for hits such as “5 Years Time” and “Shape of my Heart” and like many other artists their career was boosted by their MySpace page.

The band’s first debut album, “Peaceful, the World Lays Me Down”, reached number five in the UK albums chart. Their most recent release “Last Night on Earth” which came out in March this year had a similar success, making it their third album to be released since they formed in 2006.

The band has had many appearances at festivals across the country including Glastonbury, Latitude and Leeds and Reading.

Tickets for the show go on sale on Friday, 27th May at 9am. The gig is strictly over 16s only and doors open at 7pm. More details can be found out at the Engine Shed website.
