English contemporary folk band, Bellowhead, are set to perform at Lincoln’s Engine Shed on Friday, November 18th. The band released their third studio album, “Hedonism,” in October 2010, which will also be the title of the November UK tour.

The 11 piece band uniquely mixes music from around the globe; including jazz-funk, classical strings, soul, and folk, meaning that there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Bellowhead won the Best Live Band award at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards last year, making them five time winners of the award. They have also been described by The Independent as “the best live act in the country, with the exception of The Who.”

Earlier this year, they performed on “Later with Jools Holland” and recorded a theme tune to “Ambridge Extra” – a spin-off version of “The Archers.” The band will be performing at festivals including Glastonbury, Latitude and V later this year.

Tickets for the show are on sale now and are priced at £16.50 plus booking fees. For more information visit the Engine Shed’s website.
