A number of University of Lincoln students have been chosen to help relaunch a national magazine and fashion brand.

The founder of My Fashion Shop and e-magazine Student Style, Joanna Jaeger-Booth visited the university in April 2013 to conduct a focus group with students.

The day consisted of building ideas of new names, logos, style, design and content and was described by the company’s founder as “a complete success”.

Jaeger-Booth continued: “I’m really excited to make our ideas a reality and will be actively working on them this week and beyond.

“I chose University of Lincoln students for the focus group because they are one of the most pro-active and innovative group of students from all my contributors across UK universities.”

One of the students helping to relaunch the magazine and fashion brand is third year journalism student Lucy Vince. She said: “As contributors, we all love MyFashionShop.co.uk and Student Style but it was clear that some design aspects needed tweaking.

“Thanks to the creativity of the group, we designed a new logo which was then transferred to every other area of the company, including social media.  New Twitter handles were considered and Student Style magazine was split into further sections.”
