Lincoln City made light work of Stalybridge Celtic as they ran out 5-1 winners in the first round proper of the FA Trophy.
Marlon Jackson opened the scoring in the 19th minute after a lovely jinking run, firing in off his own rebound to put the home side ahead.
Lincoln City demonstrated their class throughout the game and quickly doubled their lead in the 24th minute, Irish midfielder Alan Power converting from the spot after a controversial penalty was awarded.
Power made it three in a fantastic ten minutes for Lincoln and it stayed like that until half time.
The Imps went four up with Power completing his hat-trick in the 56th minute. His free-kick from the left hand side beat everybody to nestle in the bottom corner.
Stalybridge Celtic did manage a consolation in the 69th minute when Phil Marsh converted a penalty but it was Lincoln who had the last laugh. Mo Fofana buried his shot into the bottom left hand corner in stoppage time to complete the rout.
Lincoln City have two weeks off until they play Gateshead at home on December 10th.
