Ben Tomlinson is one of a number of players to leave Lincoln City after it was today announced that the striker would not be offered a new contract.
Tomlinson has been the Imps top scorer in both his two seasons at the club since joining from Alfreton in 2013.
However, speculation had been mounting about his future following a cagey interview after the final home game of the season against Eastleigh.
Also released by Lincoln are Jake Caprice, Sean Newton, Arnuad Mendy, Todd Jordan and Delano Sam-Yorke.
Jordan Burrow and Tony Diagne have also been made available for permanent transfer by the club.
Should Burrow depart, it would leave the Imps without a recognised striker in the squad.
Manager Chris Moyses has offered new deals to Hamza Bencherif, Tom Miller and Jon Nolan as he looks to build a squad for his first season in charge.
If accepted the trio will join Nat Brown, Paul Farman, Alan Power as well as youngsters Conner Robinson, Elliott Hodge, Kegan Evertington, Aidan Grant and Alex Simmons as players on professional contracts at the club.
Scholar Andy Wright has also been offered a professional contact for next season.
Manager Chris Moyses has been speaking in recent weeks about the process of building a squad for next season and with today’s cull, the work has already begun.
With only eleven senior players on the club’s books now, it promises to be an interesting close season for the club.
