Dave Frecklington’s side currently sit 6th in the Evo-Stik First Division South League, just one point outside the play-off positions.

Dave Frecklington said: “There’s obviously going to be interest and rumours going around. That’s the football world.

“There are rumours that go round every table, especially in non-league football. It’s flattering that we do get interest because obviously we’re doing something right at Lincoln United.

“In terms of any thoughts of joining any other club, that’s definitely out of the equation. I’m happy with what we are doing at Lincoln United.”

Spalding United are without a manager after they parted company with Pat Rayment. They sit 12th in the same league as Lincoln United and are just 3 points behind them.

The other side Frecklington has been linked with, Stamford A.F.C are currently 23rd in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier Division, a league above the Whites.

Lincoln United will hope to extend their unbeaten run of five games when they face Romulus at the Sun Hat Villas and Resorts Stadium on Saturday.
