The event, which will see attendees create a giant green Oxfam logo in Cornhill Square, will start at approximately 11am, with guests encouraged to arrive at the Oxfam Bookshop  at 10:30am wearing green.

The celebrations also include a bake sale and 75p sales at both the Oxfam Bookshop and Oxfam High Street stores, alongside musical performances from Sarah Hughes Peter K Rollings, and Belle and the Woodland Sounds.

Lincoln’s town crier Karen Crow will also be in attendance, and will cry Oxfam’s birthday at midday.

Thursday’s event aims to ‘celebrate [Oxfam’s] achievements with a display of support’, with the charity’s most recent work taking place in Mexico after an earthquake on September 19, and in Yemen and its ongoing cholera crisis.
