Are you a fan of dressing up for Halloween? There are many ways to bring the popular fancy-dress night into your everyday looks.

Pumpkins, seasonal drinks, colourful makeup and fancy-dress parties – students especially, cannot seem to get enough of the Halloween period. Luckily for us, the popular night is just around the corner.

When it comes to fashion and beauty, Halloween is literally the perfect time for those who enjoy going all out with fancy-dress costumes, or play around with the boldest makeup trends. Halloween-makeup is becoming bigger and bigger each year, and it’s great!

Sadly though, the Halloween time is often over before we know it, and after the festivities end, you might find yourself left with a pile of accessories and makeup products that you don’t think you will be able to use again. Or are you just looking for ways to make your favourite night last a bit longer?

Either way, here’s how you can interpret those spooky Halloween accessories into your everyday looks:

Dark lipstick shades

Using darker shades of lipstick is not only suitable as Halloween-makeup – and as we go into the winter months, adding dark shades of berry red, deep brown or purple, will be the perfect accessory to match this season’s autumn/winter fashion. Don’t be afraid of going for a darker lipstick shade than you would normally use.

Fishnet tights

The use of fishnet tights was one of the extremely popular trends last year – and even though it has been quite prominent in the Halloween-costume department, it’s still a cool and edgy look that you cannot go wrong with. Pair the tights with some ripped jeans, or just a casual dungaree, and you will have a stylish look that can be suitable for both daily and evening use.

Bright orange

It’s natural to connect bright orange with pumpkins and everything that has to do with the Halloween season. But, the bright coloured trend might be one of the most popular this time of year, and orange is definitely one of the it-colours to look out for when shopping for your winter wardrobe.

Spooky accessories

Have you invested in Halloween themed accessories this year? If it works for you, there’s no reason not to pair them with a normal everyday outfit. That black choker necklace, or skull ring will bring something extra to your look. Chokers especially, work with just about everything, so don’t be afraid of pairing the fashionable necklace with a casual t-shirt or just a knitted sweater.

Nail polish

If you’re like me, wearing nail polish might be saved for the more special occasions, such as Christmas and Halloween. But, there’s no reason not to pamper and flaunt your nails whenever you feel like it. So, if you have invested in some pitch-black nail polish for Halloween, don’t let it go to waste! Adding a layer of nail polish is such a great way to spark up an everyday look.

Happy Halloween everyone!
