St Barnabas Hospice’s Moonlight Walk is to return in June for its eleventh year and take place in two new locations – it has been announced.
The walk, which is considered a ‘flagship event’ by the charity, sees Lincolnshire residents make their way along a 10K route at night.
This year’s event also sees the public being enouraged to ‘bring the blokes’ – after the walk used to be ‘women-only’.
Taking place in Lincoln on June 9, the event will be hosted at Bishop Grosseteste University, and on September 15, another Moonlight Walk will take place at the Borderville Sports Centre in Stamford.
Laura Stones, Event Fundraiser for St Barnabas, said: “Whether you want to be social, get fit or remember a loved one, join St Barnabas and hundreds of inspirational people from across Lincolnshire for a night you won’t forget.
“The money raised from these events will be crucial in helping St Barnabas provide care and support to people in Lincolnshire living with a life-limiting or terminal illness, and their families and carers.”
Early bird registration is priced at £12 for adults and £7 for children aged 11 or over and will end on April 6. Each adult is being asked to raise a minimum of £20 for the charity.
Those interested in the Lincoln and Stamford events can register and find out more information on St Barnabas’ website.
