A student from the University of Lincoln has taken to YouTube to share her story of suffering from a stroke at 20 years old.
Luna Jarvis, a student from the Lincoln School of Film and Media, uploaded the video to her channel yesterday, which talks about her having a stroke in February.
“I need to turn this into a positive,” Luna says in the video.
“Everybody can have a stroke, but in the adverts, on the posters, everything – even in the general society and life – it’s perceived as something only old people get, and yeah they do, but young people get it too. I had over seven.”
“If you see the signs for a stroke, it probably is one,” she says.
In a post on Twitter, the Lincoln School of Film and Media described the video as an “inspirational, personal film”.
The video can be viewed above or on Luna’s channel on YouTube.
