Lincoln City Football Club look to add another three points as they travel to Tranmere on Tuesday evening.

City currently sit top of England’s fourth division, League Two, and are 3 points ahead of Newport County. The Imps have won their last three games and will hope to add to their already impressive 20 goals so far this season.

The last time City met Rovers was back in their title winning season in the National League in 2016/17, Tranmere, however, fell at the final hurdle as they lost to Forest Green Rovers in the play off final.

Tranmere Rovers gained promotion to League 2 by winning the play off final last season, but currently sit 15th with 14 points from 10 games. The other team to gain promotion to the football league was Macclesfield, winning the league, but currently sit bottom of the league with no wins under their belt.

Following Lincoln’s trip to Cheltenham over the weekend, the main talking point of Tuesday’s game will revolve around whether Danny Cowley will include club captain Lee Frecklington back into the starting line-up following the conclusion of his three-match suspension. The midfielder picked up a straight red card in the defeat to Crawley Town last month.

Lincoln City kick off against Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park on Tuesday with kick off at 7:45pm.
