Lincoln residents Lewis Gollin, 22, and George Ward, 21, opened barber shop Sculpt Studios at 61 Steep Hill on Monday, February 6th.

Lewis Gollin and George Ward have moved their barbers, Sculpt Studios, into the unit formerly occupied by Vine’s bakery.

Sculpt Studios, which used to be based upstairs in Guildhall Street-based Rock Retro, has moved into the unit formerly occupied by Vine’s Bakery.

Focusing on working professionals and students, Sculpt Studios offers a homely experience in a friendly environment complete with plants, vintage décor and natural light.

“The atmosphere we try to create when someone comes in, is very homely, very friendly and it feels like the sort of place you can actually come and chill out with no awkwardness and just enjoy yourself.”

The business owners had no concerns about moving Sculpt Studios into a bigger space and say the ”homely” and ”friendly” atmosphere is still there.

When asked if there were concerns about moving into a larger space, owner Lewis said: “No, because of the amount of support we got shown in a much smaller room. We got a great response to that, so knowing full well we’d move to something bigger, that support will continue and, if not grow a lot more with it.’’

A standard cut is priced at £23.50 (£20 with student discount). Sculpt Studios also offers a hair and beard service with hot towels, wet shaves, and premium products, which cost £35 (£18.50 for just a beard).

Sculpt Studios is open six days a week. Monday (9am-3.30pm), Tuesday-Friday (9am-7pm), and on Saturdays (9am-5pm).
