Lincoln United have signed a duo of new players over the past week, one a familiar face and the other a new man for The Whites.
Forward Jack Butterfill has come to Lincoln from Barnsley, where he made two cup appearances for the SkyBet League One side last season.
Butterfill came on as a substitute in the 7-0 demolition of Sleaford Town last Saturday and had his first start on Tuesday in cup action against Louth Town.
After the Louth fixture Lincoln United Manager Chris Funnell spoke to LincSport and said: “Jack started tonight and did really well. He’s trained with us a couple of times, he’s done really well and I thought he looked sharp.”
The other signing is a familiar face for Ashby Avenue visitors. Former player Callum Chapman has returned to the club after leaving over a year ago.
Chris said: “Chaps we know from his time here before, but he’s obviously suffered from a knee injury that’s kept him out for the best part of two years.”
“We’ll build him in slowly and hopefully get him back on the pitch as soon as possible. We’re really pleased with him because he’s a very good player,” he added.
The Whites’ manager will be hoping Chapman can bolster his midfield and keep their good run of form going.
