Lucy Farrow spoke after Lincoln City Women lost 3-2 to Solihull Moors and extended their winless run to four games.
She said: “It’s been frustrating. We showed character, it’s just a shame there wasn’t an extra bit of time at the end for us to find that equaliser.”
Lee Mitchell‘s side were 3-0 down at half-time, but showed fight in the second-half to reduce the margin to 3-2. However, the clock ran down before they could find an equaliser.
Goal scorer Farrow said: “I think we created a couple of chances early on. It’s a shame we didn’t put them away and get an early lead. That’s something we need to be doing.”
That has been the story of Lincoln’s recent games, as they have failed to turn chances into goals over recent weeks.
Farrow scored the Imps’ second goal of the game, after Chantelle Robinson netted the first. “It’s always nice to score, but it’s a shame we couldn’t get that equaliser,” she said.
However, Farrow is optimistic that Lincoln have a change of fortunes coming their way.
She said: “I think we’ve got good things coming. We need to change our luck and get some points on the board.”
City return to action on Thursday night (October 12th), away to Sheffield FC, hoping to turn their fortunes around.
