Lincoln City play their first match in a week, heading to Lancashire as they play Accrington Stanley in the round of 32 in the Bristol Street Motors (BSM) Trophy.
In their last game, The Imps came out 3-0 winners against Cambridge United, a game which turned out to be U’s manager Mark Bonner last in the job.
In the BSM Trophy, Lincoln came second in their group to get through to the knockout stages at the expense of Wolves U-21’s and Notts County.
Opposition: Accrington Stanley
The Owd Reds currently sit ninth in SkyBet League Two, after being relegated from League One last season in disappointing fashion.
Accrington Stanley finished top of their group in the BSM Trophy, beating Carlisle United and Harrogate Town, but losing to Nottingham Forest U-21’s. Stanley only finished top of their group on goals scored (seven).
Last season, John Coleman’s side knocked Lincoln out on penalties in this competition. The goalkeeper for Accrington that day was Lukas Jensen. Weirdly, in five of the last seven seasons these two teams have faced-off in the EFL Trophy.
Team News:
Lincoln City continue to play with Ben House and Lewis Montsma side-lined with long-term injuries. Tyler Walker is continuing to train with the first team but hasn’t seen his name in a squad since sustaining his hamstring injury.
Imps’ manager Michael Skubala has said that Lasse Sorensen, Teddy Bishop, and Sean Roughan are all “in contention” to be in Tuesday night’s squad.
The home side are currently without any major injuries, with a few players at risk of suspension should they receive yellow cards.

One of the players in the current Lincoln squad joined from Accrington in the summer, with another spend last season on loan there.
First is Ethan Hamilton. The Scottish midfielder featured 74 times for Stanley, netting ten times. He has gone on to be a stonewall starter for Lincoln, impressing in the first half of the season.
Another is Lukas Jensen. The Danish goalkeeper spent last season in Lancashire on loan from Burnley. The shot-stopper featured 29 times over the course of the season, including the quarter-final between these two sides in the BSM Trophy.
Head-to-Head:
These two sides have only played each other 24 times, with The Imps the more successful of the two teams. Lincoln have won 11 times, with Accrington winning eight times and five draws.
The first game between the two sides was in 2006, when Lincoln won 3-1 in League Two action.
The last time these two sides met was in February, where Lincoln beat Accrington 3-0 in a visit to the Wham! Stadium.
