Lincoln City have announced the re-signing of midfielder Conor McGrandles, this time on a permanent deal from Charlton Athletic.
The 28-year-old, who previously spent two seasons with the Imps, returned for a loan spell in the second-half of last term.
He has now signed an initial two-year deal with Michael Skubala’s side, to commit his future to the SkyBet League One outfit.
Speaking to the club’s website, he said: “It’s brilliant to be back. I really enjoyed my time on loan last season so when the club showed interest in me this is what I wanted to do. There was a lot of faith shown in me when I got injured. The club offered to do all my rehab which shows the care for people here.
“I am really grateful for the way the fans took to me when I came back. I know how good the atmosphere is here and it’s something I’m really looking forward to experiencing throughout the season.”
The Scotsman originally signed for Lincoln in the summer of 2020. He made 91 competitive appearances across two seasons with the club, before making the permanent switch to Charlton Athletic.
He struggled to make an impact for the Addicks, playing just 19 games for the club across two seasons. Instead, he was loaned out to Cambridge United, and later to Lincoln.
Head coach Michael Skubala added: “We feel Conor can make a big contribution moving forward within our young group and we are delighted to bring him back to the club on a permanent basis.”
McGrandles becomes Lincoln’s first signing of the summer transfer window.
