Lincoln City Women‘s summer of change has brought with it a new head coach, in the form of Charlotte Dinsdale.

Over a week ago, the Imps confirmed the appointment of Dinsdale as their new head coach following the departure of Lee Mitchell, who had coached the side for over 3 years.

Lincoln City Women’s New Head Coach Charlotte Dinsdale:

Dinsdale first graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Health and Human Performance at the Northeastern State University, completing the course from 2003 to 2007. From there she went on to become a Project Coordinator at the Middlesbrough FC Foundation for over a decade.

After a long spell working at Middlesbrough, Dinsdale left and joined the EFL Trust in March 2015 as an NCS Programme Manager in Preston. She would work here for just under eight years, before becoming a Business Development Manager at the beginning of 2023, once again through the EFL Trust.

During this time, Dinsdale became first team coach at Sheffield FC, where she gained valuable experience and was able to transfer her knowledge from her playing days.

Before she hung up her boots, Dinsdale operated as a defender at Doncaster Rovers Belles.

After a few months in her role in the Steel City, it now brings us to current day, where Dinsdale has become the new head coach of FA Women’s National League side, Lincoln City Women.

Speaking when her appointment was confirmed by the Imps, Dinsdale said: “With the women’s team coming together with the Academy, with access to the great facilities that brings, it’s a really exciting project.

“I’ve been really impressed with the support of the club, there’s a real professional setup being put in place alongside the pathway to support women and girls in Lincolnshire.”

Dinsdale’s first league game in charge of City is in just two weeks’ time, as they face a tough test against Loughborough Lightning.
