Chris Funnell has returned to Lincoln United on an interim basis, after the exit of women’s manager Ricky Pledger.
Funnell, who led Lincoln United Women to promotion and a treble last season, left the club during the summer. He also left his twinned-role as the manager of the men’s team.
However, he has now returned to Ashby Avenue as interim manager.
The news comes after the club “parted company” with Ricky Pledger yesterday, after he spent less than four months in the job.
United have now confirmed that Chris Funnell has stepped back into the club for two games. He will manage the side for their trip to face city rivals Lincoln City tonight, and their cup clash with Aston Villa Academy on Sunday.
Follow for coverage of Chris Funnell’s return as interim manager when The Whites travel to face the Imps tonight.
