Wing-back Dom Jeffries has said he is enjoying every minute of his time at Lincoln City.

He reflected on his time at the Imps since his arrival in the summer, as well as City’s defensive efforts against Wigan Athletic over the weekend.

Speaking to The Linc, he said:” I’m loving it. It’s been really good. I’ve enjoyed every minute of every game so far. I’m happy with myself, I can improve always, you can always improve and keep learning. I’ll keep doing what I’m told to do.”

Jefferies was one of a number of new addition during the off-season, coming to Lincolnshire after a stint at Gillingham.

The Welshman’s comments came after City’s goalless draw with Wigan Athletic on Saturday.

On the point, he said: “It was always going to be a tough game. Before the game we knew they would have a lot of the possession, they are a good side.

“I think in the first half we could have been more aggressive, we were too deep, but second half it was much better, and we created a lot more.”

The game stretched Lincoln City’s unbeaten run to four league games, despite a second consecutive draw.

“We kept them at bay. We knew what they were going to do, I don’t remember them creating too many chances, for us it was what can we do, can we get to the other end and create more chances than them, and that’s what we can improve on for next week.”

Wigan Draw a “Good Point”:

It was another clean sheet for Michael Skubala’s men, including for goalkeeper Zach Jeacock, who made his league debut for City.

Jefferies said: “It’s a clean sheet and we defended well as a team. It’s a lot to take in, from recent results we are all growing there are a lot of new players in the dressing room, and we will only get better from here.

“We always want three points no matter who we play. If you look at the game overall it’s a good point in the long run, but we are disappointed as a group not to get three points.

“If you don’t concede you don’t lose the game. We look strong defensively, it’s just about what we can do in the following weeks.”

Next up for the Imps is the short trip down the A1 to Cambridge United on Saturday, before travelling north to Blackpool next Tuesday night.
