Lee Mitchell takes charge of his first Lincoln United Women, while rivals City travel to Notts County.
The Imps make the trip to face Notts County on Sunday, with United welcoming an in-form Boldmere St. Michaels in league action.
Lincoln United vs Boldmere St. Michaels:
Lincoln United play their first game in two weeks, with Lee Mitchell taking charge of his first match as manager.
Last time out in the league, the Whites lost 6-1 to table-topping Peterborough United. Posh starlet Tara Kirk was on form that day, scoring a brace off the bench.
Like United, Boldmere were also one of the sides knocked out of the FA Cup, so had a by-week to start November. They lost 3-1 to Nottingham Forest, losing their first in five all competition games.
Speaking to The Linc, ex-Lincoln City boss Lee Mitchell said: “I’m excited to play to be honest. We’ve got quite a bit to work on between now and then, it will be interesting to see what the players take in.
“We’ve got a game plan that we want to execute, but Boldmere are an experienced and tough team. I think they’re top five right now; I watched the highlights of the game against [Nottingham] Forest, and they looked good.”
Notts County vs Lincoln City:
Lincoln City return to league action after crashing out of the Women’s FA Cup to higher ranked opposition last time out. The Imps faced Rugby Borough last Sunday and lost 7-0, with the hosts ranking two divisions higher than City.
That makes it back-to-back 7-0 losses for the Imps after losing to Northampton Town the week prior in FA Women’s National League Division One Midlands action.
Notts County are in a bit of a rut themselves, having gone winless in their last three outings. Their winless run extends to late September in the league, with their last victory coming against Barnsley.
Toni McHamilton, Leah Hardy and Millie Quaintance will all face their former sides when standing opposite Lincoln City.
The Magpies also crashed out of the FA Cup to Sporting Khalsa, who were promoted up from the league last season. The Birmingham-based outfit won 5-0.
Both games take place on Sunday, November 10.
