Lincoln City Women travel to league favourites Loughborough Lightning, while Lincoln United Women host Notts County at Ashby Avenue.

It comes in the end Jon Pepper left his role as academy and women’s technical director at the Imps, with Lee Mitchell still searching for his first win across the city.

Loughborough United vs Lincoln City:

Lincoln City go into Sunday’s game off the back of a 4-0 defeat to Worcester City at the LNER Stadium. Despite having the home crowd behind them at Lincoln’s main stadium, it was Worcester who further cemented their chances of survival in the league.

Loughborough are currently unbeaten in the league, dropping points just once this season so far. Lightning have three games in hand over Peterborough United and Leafield Athletic in second and third respectively, with a win enough to see them leapfrog Posh in the table.

Lightning are currently 12 games unbeaten in all competitions, which includes a 4-2 win over Stoke City in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup.

Lincoln United vs Notts County:

Lincoln United host Notts County three weeks after their most recent fixture. They lost on the road to Barnsley 4-0, conceding two goals in each half.

The Whites are now four games without a win in all competitions, with their last victory coming on the October 6 against Sutton Coldfield Town, a game that ended 3-2.

Notts County are enjoying a successful few weeks. They have scored nine and conceded none in their last two games, one of which was a 4-0 win over Lincoln City.

The side sit comfortably in mid-table and sit just one point behind Boldmere St. Michaels.

Lee Mitchell has so far lost both of his games in charge of United, and will be looking to secure his first victory this weekend.
