Lincoln United Women 1-0 Lincoln City Women:

Lincoln United Women manager Lee Mitchell spoke after derby day victory for his team over their cross-city rivals.

The Whites boss credited the youthful Lincoln City side, and declared that his team was no longer in the relegation fight after two weeks in a week.

Mitchell summarised a “competitive” game, which his side narrowly came out on top of after missed chances meant it was tighter than it could have been.

Speaking to The Linc reporter Joshua Birkin, he said: “Ultimately, if we miss those changes it keeps the opposition in it, you’ve got to put those chances away and it changes the game.”
