Live music is a subject notorious for its distain among most young people nowadays. Ask any young person about the current state of the live music industry and chances are you’ll be bombarded with the same tale about how abhorrent ticket prices, scummy scalpers and the notorious monopoly cause by infamous top dog’s, Ticketmaster, have begun to make it feel as if the live music is beginning to drown in a sea of extortion and profit.
Well not to worry as the introduction of The Linc’s latest series, Loft Sessions is here to change that.
The Linc recognises how valuable live shows are for both the audience and the artists. In our new web series, The Linc Loft Sessions we aim to provide bespoke and intimate live shows which aim to capture both the quality of the artist as well as the joy of a live music setting and there’s no better way to begin than with our debut act, Jay Tides featuring guitarist JV.
For our debut session, singer, Jay Tides delivers a smooth and captivating performance featuring his original songs Euphoria and Wasn’t Me, along with a cover of Daniel Caesar’s Japanese Denim. Which, when paired with accompanying guitarist JV, creates a stripped-back and heartfelt set that truly lets the music speak for itself. You’re really not going to want to miss this one…
