Welcome back to another edition of The Linc’s student playlist. If you’re not sure what this is, then be sure to check out our last article for the full rundown.

This time around there’s no particular theme, merely a collection of the tracks that we’re really enjoying right now at The Linc.

Starting off with something that will definitely get your blood pumping, we’ve got the brand new lead single “Die” from Indie/punk band Dead Air. With a growling bassline to match its equally catchy chorus, this track will definitely get you grooving, but if that’s not enough, then we’re sure that our other rock picks from the likes of Brighton’s latest punk queens, Lambrini Girls and the Birmingham native metal godfathers, Black Sabbath, will keep you rocking out.

Want to keep the party going but in the mood for something other than rock? Well, maybe you’d prefer to listen to some of our hip-hop selects, such as AJ Tracey and Jorja Smith’s latest garage-inspired single, “Crush”, Fimiguerrero’s new wave track “MVP”, or maybe just the classics, such as Kendrick Lamar’s “I”.

Or maybe you’re after something more relaxed, in which case, we recommend none other than new-wave indie rising star Mk. Gee’s “Alesis” provides a mix of soft vocal stems which, when combined with the brash yet soothing melody, are bound to soothe your mind. As well as this, the creative yet emotional masterpiece that is Tyler the Creator’s “Like Him” along with the classic 90’s boom bap feel brought to you by hip hop legends Common and Pete Rock are bound to keep your mind at ease.

If you’re still not satisfied and fancy completely off the deep end and trying something new, we recommend none other than the iconic Vocaloid queen, Hatsune Miku, with her standout single, “ワールドイズマイン” (The World is Mine), for the real die-hard music fanatics.

There’s an incredible number of unique tracks to be found within this week’s edition of the student playlist. Spanning multiple genres and moods, we’re sure that there’s bound to be something in there for everyone.
