Lincoln United 1-0 Newark Town:
Lincoln United manager Scott Hellewell was “very happy” to see his side into the UCL Knockout Cup final, beating Newark Town.
The Linc sports reporter Thomas Westcott spoke to the Lincoln manager about progression into the cup final, after Elliot Dye netted the only goal of a scrappy semi-final at Ashby Avenue.
He said: “There’s a little bit of pressure on us in the league, we know what we want to do, so tonight was maybe a bit more of a relaxed mood. We tried to make it a little more relaxed and not put the pressure on, but it is a cup semi-final and a big occasion.”
It is a second cup final of the year for Hellewell in his debut campaign at United, with the date set for the final set as Monday, May 5 against Eynesbury Rovers.
