Dizzee Rascal rescheduled his gig at the Lincoln Engine Shed for early next year, after cancelling his November 2 show due to ill health.

Taking place on February 25th 2010, the new Dizee Rascal Lincoln tour date was announced on the Engine Shed’s official site on Wednesday afternoon.

Organisers say that people with tickets for the original show should keep hold of them for the new date, or go to the Engine Shed Box Office to get a full refund.

The newly proposed date came when Dizzee Rascal could not make his original gig on November 2nd, due to ill health. He apologised to his fans on Twitter, while his promoters promised to re-organise the event as soon as possible.

Victoria Simpson, Events and Marketing Manager at the Engine Shed, said “We are delighted to have a rescheduled date for the performance. Dizzee and his team were so disappointed to have to cancel the performance and disappoint fans but we know he will provide an amazing show on his return to Lincoln.”

Dizzee Rascal made his debut in the music world in 2003, with the album Boy In Da Corner. Since, the rapper has released four top selling albums, most recent being Tongue In Cheek (released September 2009). His most recent single is still in the UK Top 40 chart at number 27, after 6 weeks, peaking at number 10.
