Nothing says autumn like a brand new coat to see you through the bitter cold months ahead.
We’re often used to seeing a variety of black, blue and beige coats to keep us snug throughout but now it’s time to think pink.
Fashion magazines and online blogs have excitedly discussed the pink coat since it debuted at London and Paris Fashion Week. Designers such as Chanel, Dior and Prada all had their own take on the pink coat; Dior went with hot pink, Chanel with peony and Prada, fuchsia.
Being students, these designers are likely to be far from our reach, but there are plenty of great high street alternatives. Topshop’s ‘teddy fur pea coat’ is a hip length light pink of amazing, and with your 10% student discount, it’s an item that should be snapped up as they’re rapidly selling out.
Another high street favourite is Zara’s candy floss number, which The Saturday’s Vanessa White was pictured wearing on a night out recently. She kept the rest of her outfit simple by pairing it with skinny jeans and black pointed heels. Zara’s number retails at £179, but is definitely an investment piece to last you beyond your university years.
The pink coat comes in a variety of different styles and shades. Powder pink, candy floss, pastel and hot pink, to name but a few. Each retailer has also given their own unique twist on the style, with some opting for hip, knee length styles, trench or bolero. Whatever style and shade you lust after, there’s a candy treat for you.
