The recently released Lincoln Monopoly has been a huge success, selling hundreds of copies at book shop Waterstones.
Waterstones in Lincoln has sold over 800 copies of the board since it went on sale, selling an incredible 300 in the first two days after it’s launch. Between the two branches, Waterstones sells 20-30 boxes of monopoly a day.
David Cooper, Manager of Waterstones for Lincoln said:
“The demand for Lincoln Monopoly was huge, it’s easily the biggest selling item we’ve had in years especially with the local interest.”
“We expected there to be lots of interest for the first two weeks, however it’s surprised us and kept going.”
The game is on sale around £25 online and in certain stores in the city. It includes many of the city’s famous landmarks including Lincoln Cathedral and Lincoln Castle.
Along with Waterstones, other stockists include Ruddocks, WHS Smith, Stokes Coffee Shop, the Works, and the Lincoln Tourist Information Shop.
