“Today we decide Scotland’s destiny, today is the day that the people of Scotland will reclaim our nation.”

Campaigner Derek Durkin appeals to the people of Craigmillar, Edinburgh to vote yes to independence. He leads the rally named “Short Walk to Freedom”, addressing the crowd of a little over 100 people earlier today.

Durkin says Craigmillar is typical as one of the many working class areas where the yes campaign has gathered a strong following. He said:

“Many people in this area does not usually vote, but today we expect a turnout of over 80%. The response we have received is so positive, I’m certain Craigmillar will vote solidly for yes.
