Faux fur is the way to go if you want to be on trend right now. From gilets to scarves, it is embracing almost every item of clothing and it’s so versatile that anyone can rock it, no matter what your style is.

You won’t have to go searching far to find an item in faux fur, as the high street stores are full of them.

If you’re tight on money (and let’s face it, you’re probably a student like me so you will be), then don’t worry as Primark have you covered. Just check out the store and see what you can find.

You don’t have to go full out as they have a camel coat with a faux fur collar, so you’ll be still on trend without feeling too showy. H&M have a lovely black coloured cropped gilet, which would look good teamed up with a pair of black jeans and a white shirt for a chic look.

For a full faux fur look River Island or Topshop are perfect; they both have a selection of lovely fully faux fur jackets. Although they’re more expensive, the quality you get will be 100% worth it! Plus, when you’re left owning a piece like this shaggy light pink jacket from River Island it’ll feel so worth the splurge.

My personal favourite though, and one which I own, is this ombré pink gilet from Miss Selfridge. It looks perfect teamed up with a denim mini skirt and a black long sleeved top. It would also look equally good with a pinafore dress and a pair of chunky shoes.

If you’re still not sure on the trend , why not treat yourself to a faux fur pom for your keys; so cute!

No one can be sure how long this love for faux fur will last, but I think it should still be big a couple of years down the line… even if it’s simply that it’s perfect for keeping you cosy in the cold weather.
