Steep Hill & The Strait
A visit to Steep Hill is well worth the climb and tired legs. This historic street is filled with boutiques, family owned stores, vintage and antique shops. If you need to stop for a bite to eat, there are plenty of tea shops and restaurants uphill too.
You will find: Annuska’s Russian Doll Shop, Cahoots Boutique, Jew’s Court Book Shop and Yak – a vintage clothing shop.
The High Street
The High Street is packed full of shops and restaurants; there are over 300 to choose from! It’s right in the heart of Lincoln and is always alive with students and locals. If you ever need to buy a gift, pick up the essentials or you’re looking for some new clothes you are bound to find just what you’re looking for on the High Street.
You will find: Primark, Thorntons, Pandora, River Island, Poundland, Paperchase, Jack Wills, and Wilko.
Waterside Shopping Centre
The newly refurbished Waterside Shopping Centre is located in the centre of the high street. The indoor building is spread over two floors, so it’s ideal to shop here when the weather isn’t so bright.
You will find: New Look, Topshop, The Fragrance Shop, H&M and Next.
Street Markets
Lincoln street markets pop up throughout the year. There’s a farmers’ market, craft market, an artists’ market as well as the famous Christmas market located up steep hill. Every year people from all over the country visit the Christmas market and soak up the festive atmosphere – it’s rated as one of the best in Europe!
St Marks
St Marks is an open air shopping centre, which sits right next to The Junxion student accommodation, making it just a five minute walk from campus.
You will find: Debenhams, GAP, Sports Direct and Lakeland.
Sincil Street
Sincil Street is located close to Lincoln’s bus station. It has a wide range of shops which may come in very handy.
You will find: Brighthouse, Chambers Florist and Heron Foods.
