Lincoln’s not exactly the biggest city in England, but it sure has a lot to offer when it comes to events and entertainment. Here’s our top picks for this weekend.
No matter what your cup of tea is, you can easily find something fun to do in Lincoln. To make sure new students (and old ones for that matter) know all about what’s happening around our city, we’ve decided to provide you with a weekly guide to weekends in Lincoln.
Saturday 15th of October
Brocante Lincoln
This is a monthly homewares and flea market held in Lincoln’s indoor Central Market. It brings together talented brocanteurs and aritsans, and gives you the opportunity to purchase homeware and other things. It will be taking place 9am-4pm.
Lincoln Teenage Market
Held in Lincoln Cornhill, Lincoln Teenage Market is an opportunity for young traders and performers to showcase their skills. You can browse and buy from 20 hand-selected stalls selling hand-made crafts, art, homebakes, and much more. There will also be some live performances. It’s sponsored by Lincoln BIG and will be taking place on Saturday 10am-4pm.
Sunday 16th of October
The Spires and Steeples Challenge
This 26-mile run (or walk) goes from Lincoln’s Cathedral Quarter to the market town of Sleaford along public footpaths and bridleways, with all finishers receiving a memento. So, if you fancy a challenge and would like to take in the beautiful sites of Lincolnshire’s countryside at the same time, this might be a great way to spend your weekend. It will be held on Sunday 8:30am-5:30pm.
Lincoln Antiques & Collectors Market
This event will be held on Castle Hill between 10 and 4 on Sunday. It will feature antique furniture dealers, antique silver dealers, pottery & porcelain, asian art, fine art, modern collectables, toys & die-cast, retro, vintage and much more – with over forty stalls to visit.
