Do not get me wrong we all love Christmas, right? But there are just a few things about it that can become quite annoying.

The November-Christmas
Christmas comes far too early. Nowadays, it starts on November 1 meaning businesses can milk the life out of us – or should I say our pockets! With the constant special offers adverts pleading for you to buy this and buy that and get it delivered just in time for Christmas… It’s all far too much! It drains the enjoyment out of it making us forget the true meaning Christmas time; to spend it with those you love.

Another thing that starts way too early is the playing of Christmas songs. Once one person cracks and hits play on a Christmas classic, the infection spreads everywhere you go – and there really is no escape. Time flies by too fast anyway without us skipping the month of November and zooming straight to December!

Having no money
Being poor at this time of year is one of my biggest pet peeves. This means I can’t spoil the people that I love as much as they deserve to be spoiled. Your mum may deserve more than a candle and some bath salts, but that doesn’t she’s going to get it!

Lack of pigs in blankets (a.k.a disaster)
And who couldn’t get a bit peeved on the big day when there’s never enough stuffing or pigs in blankets! It seems that no matter how much is made there’s always one greedy person who steals more than they should. Here we are trying to be polite waiting until allowing others to go before us and by the time we get round to it, there’s nothing left! Compare that to the amount of selection boxes we all receive, and you can be sure that dessert will be 2x the side of the main course.

New Year’s resolutions
And it wouldn’t be the end of one year and start of the next without people making new year’s resolutions which they’ll never stick to. We all swear we’ll be fitter, or nicer come the chime of Big Ben, but how often does that really happen?

Taking the trimmings down
Once all the cheer is over and done with, it’s time to take down the trimmings – and boy isn’t it depressing?! It suddenly hits you that another year has been and gone and you have to wait another 365 days to do it all over again, but if you’re not the type to get peeved about how much earlier Christmas creeps each year then here’s a thought for you – only about 330 days to go!!
