Students who throw bottles during Lincoln SU events will be handed a four-week ban, the union has announced.
The new rule comes after bottles were thrown at Jedward and Atomic Kitten’s Kerry Katona and Natasha Hamilton when they all performed at Quack events earlier in the year.
In a statement, SU President Kudzai Muzangaza said the four-week suspension includes a temporary ban from Tower Bar, Platform and The Swan – as well as on any relevant sports and activities.
“These measures have been taken to ensure that there is a clear and unambiguous standard of behaviour expected of our members when attending events at the Engine Shed.
“It is also to ensure that all members can enjoy a safe environment whereby they will encounter no antisocial behaviour,” he said.
Access to the SU’s Advice Centre remains available to all students regardless of this suspension.
