The annual display will be themed on the 200th anniversary of Queen Victoria’s birth, and will focus on Victorian themed fashion and entertainment.

Other events lined up for the week include vintage fairs, fashion showcases and previews from big name brands such as New Look and Topshop. As well as events hosted in headline sponsors St Marks Retail Park and The Waterside Shopping Centre.

Organisers Lincoln BIG are advertising for people to apply to feature on the catwalk and applications are open until February 17.

Jacinta Peachey, Events and marketing assistant at Lincoln BIG told The Linc: “We’re hoping to sell more tickets this year, with it being in a bigger venue, we are hoping that more people will be willing to come.”

“We previously had a capacity of 300 attendees and this year we have a capacity of 600 so we have doubled the amount of people to draw in for this year’s fashion week. For the retailer’s it is a massive selling point because they will want to show off their clients and their fashion.”

“The cathedral will be for the finale and to finish the week off with a huge bang in such an impressive venue is exciting.”

Admission for stores are free of charge to participate in the catwalk but will cost £200 to reserve a spotlight section. The admission fees for general admittance will be announced shortly.

It has been announced that a portion of the profits made from the finale, as well as throughout the week will go to the official charity partner Macmillan Cancer Support.

Last year’s theme was RAF based, celebrating the 100th anniversary of its formation. The profits went to Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance and the catwalk was hosted at the Alive Church in Newland.

Applications to get involved are still open through the Visit Lincoln website.
