The Lincolnshire food and gift fair has returned to the Lincolnshire Showground this November.
This festive event has been held over a two-day period, which started yesterday the 27th, and continues until 5pm today. Offering the perfect opportunity to get cracking with your Christmas shopping, there are over 100 different stalls to choose from, plus artsy and educational activities for children at Santa’s bakehouse, and demonstrations from some top local chefs and producers for the adults to enjoy.
8,000 people were expected to attend this year – it seems the long-standing tradition of this fair is still a firm favorite. “The take up for the event has been really positive this year! People are keen to get out and about after 18 months without many events and fairs,” says Gemma King, marketing executive at the showground.
Helping visitors to feel comfortable and at ease at the fair, Gemma added, “The health and safety of our visitors has always been a priority, visitors are encouraged to wear a face mask inside our indoor areas and hand sanitizing stations will be dotted around the event”.
To make this year even more exciting, Gemma says, “There are over 30 new exhibitors at the event this year, including bakeries, home décor companies and artistic and creative products, Foodies should look out for Tiffin & Co bakehouse, fudged up and The Oink company.” There is plenty of opportunity to get involved with craft or cooking as well, with Flowers by Suzanne, Good Lookin Cookin, Heatherbelle crafts and many more!
Alison Lloyds-Fowler from Flowers by Suzanne will be attending this year. “We are all very excited to be involved with Santa’s workshop, we will be demonstrating and assisting the children with the making of floral door hangings and table arrangements. It is lovely to see the children interact and enjoy working with the flowers.”
For the adults she added, “We’ll be selling a great variety of Christmas gifts, wreaths and plants along with some stunning dried and fresh flower arrangements.”
With something for everyone, whether that’s sampling a tasty treat from a local producer or discovering your hidden talent at a craft stall, The Lincolnshire Food and Gift Fair is the perfect place to get into the Christmas spirit this November, you might even find a Christmas gift too!
