Winger Mide Shodipo returns to Lincoln City on a permanent deal that will see him line-up for the Imps until early January.
Shodipo played 20 games for Mark Kennedy’s side last season, while on loan from QPR. During the spell he scored two goals, against Derby County and Plymouth Argyle.
The Irishman was released by QPR in the summer and has been without a club since.
Speaking about his signing, Shodipo said: “It feels great to be back, I am delighted to be here again and am raring to go.
“This is a move that works for both parties. I know the players, I know the fans and I know what the club is like so I can settle straight back into things. They made me feel so welcome last time and I can’t wait to play in front of them again”, he added.
The former Republic of Ireland U19 and U21 international will wear the number 30 upon his return to Lincolnshire.
Director of football Jez George said: “This is a no-brainer for both parties. Mide knows us, we know him and in our situation, with significant injuries to Ben House and Tyler Walker, he gives us more options at the top end of the pitch.”
George was clear that this is a short-term solution to City’s injury trouble, adding: “This arrangement helps us in the short-term and gives Mide the opportunity to earn a longer term contract with us or another club in January.”
Shodipo is available for selection tomorrow, as the Imps travel to rivals Peterborough United.
