Lincolnshire Police are appealing for information after a serious assault on a 22-year-old man on West Parade. The attack happened just before Christmas, at 1am on Saturday, December 19th.

The man was taken to Lincoln County Hospital and was treated for head injuries, and is said to be in a stable condition.

The police say that he was walking home along West Parade when the attack took place. A group of four men and one women were nearby at the time, and one of the men assaulted the man at the junction with Rudgard Lane.

Three of the men fled down Rudgard Lane, whilst the other man and the woman headed east down West Parade, in the direction of the city centre.

The police want anyone with information on the incident to come forward, saying they need the people at the scene and any other witnesses to contact them as soon as possible.
