A 37-year-old man has been found dead at the Brayford Court student accommodation on Carholme Road.
Police were called at 5pm on Tuesday, March 15th and there were a number of police cars and ambulances present at the residential site.
There were no suspicious circumstances and the death is in the early stages of an investigation.
According to eye-witnesses there were sniffer dogs and a body was taken out on a stretcher.
UPDATE: It has been confirmed that the man was not a University of Lincoln student.
