We often associate springtime with ideas of rebirth, renewal and revitalization, but this year it is autumn which has brought a new lease of life to Lincoln’s high street.

A host of major high street chains including Topshop and Topman have been revamped and restyled ready for A/W11, with House of Fraser leading the way in the footwear department with the addition of its new Office section.

Rivalling these revamps are Lincoln’s most loved boutiques, with one of its largest independent boutiques, Agatha, transforming their 1st floor into a stylish new space dedicated to unique seasonal trends.

The contemporary, chic new space, re-branded as The Attic @ Agatha, marks the boutique’s fifteenth anniversary on the high street. In 2010, the family run business was voted one of the ‘best boutiques in Britain’ by British Vogue, and it just keeps getting better and better.

“The Attic is Agatha’s fashion forward sister,” explains marketing manager, Charlotte Jacklin, “every girl wants to be fashion forward and The Attic can help you do this at a reasonable price.”

The Attic has an exciting variety of hand-picked brands exclusive to Lincoln such as Never Fully Dressed, Dahlia, Louche, Jovonna and Minimum. The collection ranges from £30-£75, with a limited number of each item – but students can get a 10% discount.

Aside from its unique selection of fashion, Agatha also prides itself on great customer service. They offer an out of hours personal shopping experience and the staff are trained to give advice on current trends but also how to maintain your item and make it last.

The Attic also offers drink facilities, and have an in-house seamstress six days a week, so if you purchase a dress and want it to fit perfectly, you can have it altered to fit your exact measurements.

Agatha also stock a wide range of premium brands ranging from £20 to £500; Vivienne Westwood, Barbour, UGG, Paul Smith, Ted Baker, Nicole Fahri and Armani are just some of the classic labels you’ll find in the ground floor boutique.
